Why do some people draw a line between 7 and Z? ۔

I just don't understand

update

There must be a reason.

Most people in Europe, Latin America and New England write 7 with a line in the middle, sometimes with a crooked line at the top. The line in the middle is clearly useful to distinguish character number one, as they may look alike in certain handwritings.

Italians often use cross (cross out z) for the sound [dz] in handwriting, while the common z [ts] is used for the sound. In Polish, "the letter is used as the vt of the letter". Many older Europeans use this handwriting as the letter Z because they learn it that way in school. Mathematicians use it to avoid similarities with number 2.

European Calligraphy No. 1 sometimes has a long peak, which makes it look like a closed 7. A cross marks it as 7.

Why do some people draw a line between 7 and Z?

I just don't understand

My writing is sometimes difficult to read, so I tend to read it. I put a line on my 7 so that people don't think it's 1 and do the same with Z so they don't get confused with 2.

Europe has to draw the line through Convention 7 and I think it's good because it's clear. As I am Polish, I will admit that Z is an additional letter in Polish with dash and like Z. Already written

For example, help

I've heard a lot of reasons, but one of them is that they can differentiate their Z from 2 and other similar characters.

The number 1, which is handwritten in Europe, sometimes has a long tee at the top, which makes it look like 7. The cross marks it as 7. Often there is a diagonal line in z to distinguish it.

Help, for example

I've heard a lot of reasons, but one of them is that they can separate their Zs from seconds and other similar characters.

I know they use it in Europe, but I learned that there is a mathematical reason behind it, so you can tell if it's a number or a letter (variable).

This is a common convention in Europe where composition is done this way.
