Copper is most suitable for water pipes for ice machines. Use a regular faucet, disconnected from the water supply, then reduced to 1/4. Don't use poppet valves, they leak and get lost and sometimes don't close when you need them.
Where is the ice maker valve located?
The water inlet valve (cooling water inlet kit) supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser. This part is located at the rear of the refrigerator and connects to the water supply. If the water inlet valve is not working, your refrigerator may not have enough water.
Does icemaker control water flow?
A switch in the icemaker control box turns on the water supply, an electrical inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. The water goes through a tube at the back of the freezer and into the ice cube tray of the ice maker. The ice cube should reach the set low temperature.
