Toe Head
Where did the term finger in the head come from?
Cranehead comes from an old German word for ■■■■ or straw. It basically means straw colored hair (light yellow).
The head of the foot
Not the feet, but the head of the crane. The crane is a fiber made of Co, Srt or linen that is designed to be cut and, of course, as you can imagine, is pale yellow.

Everyone calls my daughter upside down. I know what that means, but where does the term come from? What does hair have to do with your fingers?

Not the feet but the head of the crane. Wigs are fibers made from Co, Srt or ■■■■ that are ready to be spun and of course, as you can imagine, they are light yellow in color.
I never heard that sentence. On Thanksgiving, my husband's aunt said that her son now has very dark hair. He says that from head to toe when he was young. Of course we thought he was making up a saying, but I don't think so.
I don't know the answer to your question, but I think they are heads, not feet.
Your head will not TOW.
This is an American term and refers to two, lightweight fiber made from ■■■■ or jute. Blonde hair is dirty. This is the 19th century.
