Myopia Degree Conversion

Convert SPH (myopia) to degrees? 3

How do I change the SPH for myopia (left eye: 2.50, right eye: 2.00) to the number of degrees for myopia (eg 300, 350, 425, etc.)?

update

Are you just multiplying by 100?

There is no degree of myopia. Some people use this word but it is completely wrong. Numbers like 2.50, 5.00 etc. called diopters. It is possible to see orders with numbers like 300 or 550, etc., but exactly equal to 3.00 and 5.50. You can be lazy and not want to mess with the bottom line.

There, your left eye is 2.50 diopters and your right eye is 2.00 diopters. You can write 250 and 200 but there is no other way and you cannot change these numbers to any other number.

If you want to know your vision, that is, whether you see with or without gel (eg 20/20, 20/50, 20/100, etc.), there is no way to tell based on your vision. The only way to do this is to read the table with G and lowercase letters (they are called Snellen tables and all doctors have them).

Most people with vision around 20/200 do not have enthusiasm, but as I said, there is no clear link between diopters and vision.

If you wear sunglasses, your vision is likely to be normal (20/20)

Severe myopia

Some countries use diopters as a unit of measure for myopia, some use degrees. One diopter is equal to 100 degrees. So yes, multiply by 100, 2.50 diopters and you get 250 degrees.
