What does the poet seem to say? In Rita Joe's poem of justice, the poet seems to say that justice is not always fair. There are many things that determine justice. For example, verse 2 of verse 1 says: If my skin is not cool you will not play. It points to the fact that even a difficult society has improved so much that there is no discrimination or racism, people are judged even when they are different.
