Interstitial Ad - How To Discuss

Interstitial Ad

A mobile ad unit that appears between views on a mobile website or mobile app. The word spacing comes from the word spacing, which means a small space between things, especially when it's part of a series of unified rooms and spaces (think a stockade with gaps between the shelves).

Interstitial ads appear when navigating from one web page to another, after leaving page 1 but before page 2 loads, during transitions, or between activities in an app or other digital content. Interstitial ads can appear in the same browser window or in a separate browser window.

Interstitial ads are pages that appear before (or after) a page of expected content. It is most commonly used to serve ads, but is also sometimes used to verify a user's age before serving age-restricted content.

Interstitial ads that span the entire screen are called hyperstatic ads.

An ad that is displayed when a user navigates from one web page to another. The ad fills the browser window after the user leaves the landing page, but before the landing page appears on the user's screen.
