I have 97 f150 4wd without back.
The stock is 8.8, the tag number is 355.

I have a tomb.
3 S908A1
55 975 7b13
The pit that came to port with my 5.4-January is 4.6 with my 5.4, the gears are the same but the same as the 355 gears like the 9.75 inch 8.8, whether it works when pushing or not. Front difference for 4x4.

Yes, it will work fine. In this case, only the gear really matters, if the old shaft and the grease shaft have 3.55 teeth, then you are in gold.
If the relationship is the same then there is no problem. But the new distinction is the perfection of the Unicycle and it does not have the limited slip of the old. (3 55 vs. 3L 55)
