Scenario of Dumplin

Her aunty Lucy looks after her most of the time. Will is disappointed to learn that her mother, who refers to her as Dumplin is a past beauty queen who is too preoccupied with competing in pageants to use up her daughter’s company.

Every year, she continues to organize the town’s Bluebonnet Pageant. Due to Lucy’s introduction, Will and Ellen Dryver become best friends. 6th months before the start of their senior year in school, Lucy passes away. It’s difficult for Will and Rosie to get along.

Will often makes fun of Rosie’s size, and Rosie feels uncomfortable around her mother’s pageant lifestyle. Will is banned from school on the 1st day because he defended Millie from a bully picking on her.

Will feels that Lucy should have taken care of her health and that Rosie disapproves of her because of how she looks; he hates Rosie’s criticism of her conduct in this respect.

When Will discovers that Lucy joined the sweepstakes at the age of 16, he is shocked. and chooses to enter the Teen Bluebonnet pageant as a way to march in heels.

Rosie thinks that Will’s application to the pageant is a joke, so they tell her how rigid they think pageants are, and she agrees.

The performance by Millie runs well. Despite Rosie’s pride, Will is banned due to the unlawful change of her attire and song. She can’t make an anomaly as she has a daughter.
