How the DTE Payment Plan Works
The Failure Protection Plan is designed to help you pay off your balance by dividing it equally which will be added to your future DTE bills. Registration requires proof of income and an initial deposit. The amount of the advance affects the monthly amount.
Does DTE carry out payment plans the same way?
DTE Energy’s Low Income Self-reliance Plan (LSP) is an affordable low-income payment plan for qualified families who are eligible for income. This program allows you to make affordable monthly payments based on your income. The rest of your bill will be paid monthly with your Energy Aid Fund.
Does the DTE budget plan also work?
It’s free and lets you split your annual bill equally and even offset the seasonal ups and downs on your gas and utility bills. To register for BudgetWise Billing online, you need to log into your DTE Energie Online account. You can sign up for BudgetWise Billing at any time.
How can I get a payment agreement with DTE?

Does DTE Energie have a franchise?
We bill monthly. Invoices are payable 17 days after shipment. When submitting your payment, please allow 57 days for your mail to be delivered to make sure your payment arrives by the due date.
Does DTE require a deposit?
