What does it mean to design a bathroom? 3
Hi, I'm from Korea and I'm trying to learn English.
I have a question while watching American dramas. Does anyone in the play say why don't you take a bath? I tried to find the meaning in the dictionary, but I couldn't. can you help me?
That is, filling the bathroom. There are many idioms in English which we call idioms. I've included websites so you can see some of them and understand what they mean. There should be other similar sites. Keep learning, you are doing well.
Bath
As someone once said, this is a phrase that is no longer used in English, so it's no wonder you don't find it. Bathing usually means filling the tub. However, the term is becoming more commonly used when filling a bathtub is not an easy task. This means filling the vessel one condition at a time.
Anyway, that just means getting ready for the shower.
This is another example of English language nonsense. Taking a shower simply means pouring water into the bathtub before taking a shower. Well, I'm learning this language! :)

In fact, it is a very old Victorian term and it means siphoning in English ... meaning you draw water from the tap and therefore take a bath.
Very few people use it easily. It is often difficult to know whether to take a shower or not.
The essence of this expression is when water has to be pumped out of a well and then water has to be taken out of the ground for bathing.
