Disinfectant Candle
Can You Make Disinfectant Candles? If not, why not? 3
I know of many candles that use 100% essential oils that claim to be antiseptic, including oils from lavender, tea tree and lemon. But in my tests, I found that essential oil melts very quickly in the first 2-4 hours after a candle burns. I use tea tree oil in my humidifier to remove any bacteria and ■■■■■■ that may be on me, but I have not found much benefit from using EOs in candles because they burn so quickly. When using chemical disinfectants on your candles, I strongly advise you to avoid doing so, as many chemicals are toxic and flammable if you inhale them for too long and if you try. If you do, you may not even get your wax. What. A candle. You can consider buying or making candles with a clear scent, and many retailers offer deodorizing scents that take your scent into the candle and add to the scent as the candle burns. I'm not sure it works, but I used it on my candles and it removes odors, but nothing says it disinfects.
