In addition to transitive and non-transitive verbs, there is a third type of verb, called a connected verb. The word (or phrase) that follows the connected verb is not the object, but the complement of the article.

The most common connecting verb is to be. Other connected verbs are called, appearing, appearing, smelling, growing, seeing, smelling, like and sound etc. Note that some of these are sometimes connected verbs, sometimes transitive verbs, or sometimes non-contagious, depending on how you use them:

Connect the verb with the completion of the article.

He was a radiologist before becoming a full-time yoga teacher.

Connect the verb with the completion of the article.

Your pepper is fragrant.

Transitional function with the completion of the object directly

I don't feel anything from this terrible cold.

Non-infectious function without an object

The beautiful interior of the new Buick smells like fish.

Note that the appendix to the article can be a noun (radiologist, technician) or an adjective (delicious).
