Is there a ban on Capital One checking account even if I accept the card? 3

I've already asked this question here to find more comments and / or experiences.

December 1, 2012 - I applied online for a Capital One credit card and it was approved immediately.

I have been a Capital One / Card Leader client in the past, no problem, the account is fully paid and everything on Capital One looks normal on my credit report.

After approval, I usually signed the agreement. He then asked if I wanted to create a username and password for this account to use the functions of online banking. I thought about creating one because I have never used Capital One's online banking services and payments will probably be easier.

Just ... I created a username and password, agreed immediately, and received a congratulatory email.

December 3, 2012: I received an email from Capital One stating that my card was sent on December 2, and I will receive it within a week.

Now that I feel that my account has been created and deleted, all I have to do is receive the card in the mail and activate it.

Shortly after receiving this email, I installed the Capital One Topo app on my iPan for instant access to my account.

Then I was curious ... I wanted to know what is the limit of my credit (if you are told that I lost it after your approval) then I logged into my account from desktop computer And the site asked me to activate the card with security. The code on the back of the card and I want to get rid of the paper etc. Obviously, I haven't received the card, so I won't be able to see my account until I activate the card.

Now I want to see the Mole app that I have downloaded. I wanted to see if my account was accessible like this, so I logged in and can see my account.

I can see the last 4 # on my account, my total credit limit of $ 2,000, my last transaction, my $ 0 balance, my last posted payment, and the ability to make online payments.

However, there is a message that this account is currently restricted. Call (800) 9557070 for information.

This is a customer service number I can't call unless I have a card. And there is no reference to # in the warning / message, which means I will ignore it or my account will be terminated.

* Please note that this alert is only available in the My Topo app. This is not a desktop version.

If nothing happens then why this warning? I know I am not a victim of any scam this time, Capital One must have contacted me. If I'm wrong, correct me.

And if the reason is that I have not activated my card, I will not be asked to do so by looking at my account, as is the case with the desktop version?

I received many answers, all very different. You:

I am a victim of fraud.

The warning lasted until I activated my card and stopped using the online account function.

My account is closed

Because I'm new to online banking.

I logged in several times.

I was there until I paid my first bill.

It's December 5th and I haven't received the card, it's only been 4 days. And Capital One didn't contact me at all ... meaning there was nothing serious about my account.

Sdude2: Have you ever been in this situation or do you know anyone? If so, do you know what my next step is?

I firmly believe that with Capital One I don't have to go through another process of identity verification ... you catch the bugs and the day comes.

* Does anyone believe?

Your card is limited because it is too busy. The card has not been activated but has been linked to the account multiple times through various means. This sounds ridiculous.

Wait until you have the card. After activating it, check if it is still limited. If yes, please contact us.

Using the Cap One app on your computer is a red flag when your card is not activated. Because he was unable to enter the correct information on the card, the account was kept confidential. With the camera, it looks like someone misrepresented the information on the front cover. Thank you for providing this safety net.

He was just upset and angry that the card was activated and ready to use. When you receive the card, call 800 and talk to a real representative to resolve the issue.

$ 2,000 is not a bad credit line.

The card may take a week or more to arrive, and you will not be able to use it until you activate it (which you cannot do unless you have it in your hand). Don't be). Until then you just have to sit. If the card is still blocked after activation, or if it has been more than a few weeks, you have good reason to contact customer service.

The same thing happened to me the other day so I called 1800 and talked to the representative and asked why my account is closed if I do not have the card and he told me that all the banks would talk to Eatother. And I found the information in it. My app that does not match the information provided by other banks in my records. So they restricted my account until they verified my identity. My identity, to which I answered correctly, they removed the ban from my account.

Wait until you receive your card in the mail.

You may have entered an incorrect account number or used an incorrect username.

Give it that time, okay?

When you receive this card, cut it out and return it to Capital One.

Happiness is a state that lasts only for a moment.
